(Gibson) Sammy Hagar is more than a little bit enthusiastic about Chickenfoot's new album. The group, which also includes Michael Anthony, Joe Satriani and Chad Smith, will release their second album, erroneously titled Chickenfoot III, in late September."It's the best record I've ever made," Hagar told Rolling Stone, although he said it didn't come easy. "I was being negative, and I fought with myself. The music Joe was presenting was so good, I honestly beat myself up for the first time ever. I didn't want to walk in with something mediocre."
Some of the record shares the sound of the band's 2009 debut, although Hagar said "the hooks and the songs are better." Satriani agrees: "We created a record that was deeper and better than the first one... it makes a musician very happy when they can see that they are involved with something that's very moving forward and life-changing." more on this story
