(Gibson) Much of the talk about Paul McCartney's latest re-releases has centered around his critically acclaimed 1970 album, McCartney. But another classic by the Beatle bassist is also set for release in a "deluxe" format later this month.
McCartney II was Macca's first solo album in 10 years when it was released in 1980. Among the tracks on the album was the single, "Coming Up," which went to #1 in the U.S. in June of that year.
The song is largely remembered for its video, which cast Paul and wife Linda in a variety of roles in a fictional band called The Plastic Macs (a play on John Lennon's Plastic Ono Band).
