(Gibson) Country legend Glen Campbell is getting the all-star rock and roll treatment for his final album. The singer and session guitarist is bowing out of the record business this year with his last ever album, Ghost on the Canvas, which arrives August 13.Jakob Dylan, Robert Pollard of Guided By Voices and Paul Westerberg from The Replacements have penned songs for the record, while guest artists include Billy Corgan, Dick Dale, Chris Isaak and Rick Nielsen.
Campbell, who is a Country Music Hall of Famer, scored over 80 top ten hits and sold over 45 million albums. Aside from his career as a singer, he was also a prized L.A. session player, working on records by Frank Sinatra, The Beach Boys and The Monkees. more on this story
