U2 and Bon Jovi Top Forbes Rich List

06/20/2011
.
(Gibson) Forbes has confirmed their 2011 list of the world's highest-paid musicians, and evidently, it really pays to be an experienced rocker. U2 hit #1 on the list for a second consecutive year, pulling in over $195 million—with their two-year 360° tour grossing over $700 million, beating the Rolling Stones' A Bigger Bang tour as the richest tour of all time.

Bon Jovi came in at #2, clocking a not-so-shabby $125 million over the last year. Rounding out the top 5 were Elton John at #3 ($100 million), Lady Gaga at #4 ($90 million) and Canada's Michael Bublι at #5 ($70 million).

At age 68, Paul McCartney was the oldest musician to make the list, bringing in $66 million and landing at #6. 17-year-old pop sensation Justin Bieber was the youngest of the bunch, scoring $52 million and entering at #9. Additional rockers on the list are the Eagles (#8), the Dave Matthews Band (#10), Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers (#16), AC/DC (#18) and Muse (#22). more on this story
