(Gibson) Record producer Don DeVito, best known for his production work with Bob Dylan, has died from prostate cancer. NME reports that DeVito was 72 and had fought cancer for the past 16 years.A producer at Columbia Records, DeVito worked with Dylan on
Blood on the Tracks, Hard Rain, Desire and Street Legal in the '70s.
DeVito also worked with Bruce Springsteen, Simon & Garfunkel and Aerosmith and won a Grammy for his production on Folkways – A Vision Shared: A Tribute to Woody Guthrie and Leadbelly in 1989. more on this story
