(The 1st Five) Bayside vocalist Anthony Raneri has had to drop off two of the final four dates of the ongoing Where's The Band tour. He does not know if he'll be able to play the final two dates yet. Here's his statement. "I've spent the last 24 hours in the hospital in Orange County. I had an infection in my finger that spread through my hand."more

(FMQB) EMI has been rolling out its massive Pink Floyd reissue campaign, under the banner Why Pink Floyd...?, since September. Now, February 28 marks the release of The Wall's expanded "Immersion" and "Experience" editions, which is the last scheduled title in the Why Pink Floyd? series. Hence, discussions are turning to what else can be culled from the band's archives. For instance, drummer Nick Mason says he'd like to see a package covering Pink Floyd's early years rather than expanding one particular album. And that's not all that is being discussed. More here

(Antiquiet) The Mars Volta are returning to our ears with Noctourniquet, their sixth album, on March 27. Listen to a preview of The Malkin Jewel, which will drop February 13th, here

(Bravewords) Dave Castagno from Radio Screamer spoke with RATT drummer Bobby Blotzer at the 2012 NAMM show which was held in Anaheim, California recently. About the band's upcoming studio album he said that "we started a few weeks ago. We're in pre-production and it will be out in August." more

(House of Rock) Classic Rock magazine is reporting that although the late guitar wizard Tommy Bolin passed away at the age of 25 in 1976, a new album is set for release out March 26. 'Great Gypsy Soul' features features outtakes and alternate versions of his solo material, with current musicians playing and singing along to Bolin's own guitar and vocal recordings. The high profile list includes contributions from Peter Frampton, Joe Bonamassa, Warren Haynes, Steve Lukather, Glenn Hughes, Brad Whitford, Derek Trucks and many others more

(The 1st Five) Dance Gavin Dance have released a statement regarding the ongoing and frankly depressing saga of vocalist Jonny Craig. " As some of you have heard today, Jonny Craig will not be doing the upcoming tour with Dance Gavin Dance. Jonny is very sick right now, and needs to do what he can to get better.... For this upcoming tour with A lot Like Birds, we will be joined by Kurt Travis and Matt Geise to fill in on vocals" They also have a special first time treat for fans on the tour. Details here.

(FMQB) Anthrax and In This Moment have been added to this year's Rock On The Range lineup more

(Lambgoat) Red Fang will headline a spring tour of Europe with support from Black Tusk. more

(SRX) Accept guitarist Herman Frank is almost finished his second solo album, the follow-up record to the debut from 2009, 'Loyal To None'. more
