Craig Gass Plans Album and Tour

.
Comedian, actor and impressionist Craig Gass plans to record his debut comedic album which will be released under a new deal Oglio Records.

Set to be recorded this summer, GASS plans an early fall release in conjunction with a full U.S. tour. We were sent these details:

The pathway to impressions and stand-up comedy appears to be GASS' destiny from the very beginning. Growing up in a family that was completely deaf, Craig learned to speak from TV and was soon holding conversations with himself, or rather, with the casts of all his favorite shows.

Gass, who has appeared on such TV shows as Las Vegas, King of Queens, and Gene Simmons' Family Jewels, began performing stand-up comedy in 1993. Like many comedic talents before him, Gass true inspiration was in seeking revenge; especially on other comedians that had mercilessly ridiculed him for his performance at an open mic night. It was not long before he was booked for a steady stream of gigs at the nation's most legendary comedy clubs. Gass' dead-on impressions caught the attention of two icons of the entertainment community, Howard Stern and George Carlin. Carlin soon took Gass under his wing, became his mentor, and acting roles materialized with regularity. In December of 2008, Craig's impersonation talents were tapped by Fox's Family Guy, American Dad and The Cleveland Show for a series of ongoing storylines.

As a regular guest on The Howard Stern show, Gass provides countless, riveting stories from the road, his endless encounters with Hollywood elite and life at its most basic reality. His seamless impressions of Al Pacino, Sam Kinison, Adam Sandler, Tracy Morgan, Gene Simmons, Gilbert Gottfried, Christopher Walken, Owen Wilson and dozens more, accompanied by his machine gun-style delivery and fall-down-laughing storytelling, have already captivated audiences around the world.

Gass has now been signed by Oglio Records, joining a host of legendary comedic talents that include Jackie Martling, George Lopez, Rob Schnieder, and many others. Oglio label President, Carl Caprioglio, puts Gass among the greatest comedic talents working today. He recently stated, "I am very excited to be a part of Craig's team. Craig is an amazing talent and once people hear what he has to offer beyond the impressions, he will blow people's minds."

Gass' talent once landed him on a radio show holding a punk'd-style phone call with Metallica's Lars Ulrich, flawlessly impersonating Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley of KISS. On the spot, Ulrich loved Gass, who is now the only comedian ever to open a Metallica concert! On any given day, you can hear him on radio stations around the country, bringing an onslaught of comedic energy to some of the most notorious morning and afternoon drive teams. Gass has even spread his humorous insight through the news media, as a comedy writer for Colin Quinn's "Weekend Update" on Saturday Night Live from 1998-2000.
