The teenage pop star took home three American Music Awards including the Favorite Male Pop award and favorite album for "Believe."

The pop music focused awards also included awards for country (Carrie Underwood's "Blown Away" won favorite country album and Lady Antebellum winning for favorite country album or duo.

America's top selling genre of music, Rock, had one award of the night with cross-over band Linkin Park winning for Favorite Alternative Rock Artist.
