B.B. King has been named the headliner of this summer's Lowdown Hudson Blues Festival and admission to the event will be free. The Lowdown Hudson Blues Festival will take place at the outdoor plaza at Brookfield Place in Lower Manhattan on July 10th and 11th.
King will headline the first night of the festival which will also feature a set from The James Hunter Six. The second night will feature sets from Los Lobos, Los Lonely Boys and Alejandro Escovedo.
"If the first two years proved anything, it's that New York City loves blues music," said Debra Simon, Vice President and Artistic Director of Arts Brookfield. "This festival allows people to check out living legends alongside extraordinarily talented artists set against the beautiful waterfront setting."
